This class is about getting alignment and precision - yoga at its essence. It's about how you move into, stay and move out of poses. It's great if you are just getting started in your yoga journey, if you are a little way along, or a advanced partitioner. We flow in slow, soul-full movement and lots of breath. You can expect an emphasis on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement. Full-body relaxation and balance are the goals, as we make a full circuit of the body’s range of motion with standing postures, twists, backbends, forward folds, and hip openers.
This class is all about letting go. You'll stretch deeply and hold poses (usually 3-5 minutes). Yin Yoga is very peaceful and relaxing and especially great if you find slowly down a challenge. The aim of the poses is to relax the tissue surrounding the muscles. Therefore, poses are held for several minutes and you are encouraged to be still. You might not find this very relaxing, but you will eventually find relief!
